Appears Streets & Trips will be discontinued on December 31, 2014 with online support available until July 14th, 2015.
Well, I finally completed a SS1000. Just need to get my documents together and mail it all in and then wait. I rode from home out to Missoula, MT and back on I-90. Approximately 1029 miles (by GPS) in 16 hours and 37 minutes. It was a beautiful and hot day all the way.
I thought you would all enjoy the highlights of my BMR escapades. I had a blast and hope to join again next year.
Ride safely and have fun!

Now that the 2014 BMR has come to a close, I’d like to invite you all to join us for the How The West Was Won Rally in Colorado this July. We still have a bit of room left, and we’d love to have some seasoned BMR riders in the mix . Registrations will stay open through June 25th. However, riders that register after June 1 are not guaranteed a rally shirt as the order will be going out early June. We have an awesome group or riders so far, and even awesomer staff. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces.
Never been to this place before the BMR 2014 and it’s in the frickin’ news today. Somebody robbed it at SWORD point!
And, I’m not making this up….the owner defended himself with a golf club and crook rode away on a BMX bicycle.
After the BMR banquet dad and I went to Lake Tahoe and spent the night. Today we’re doing the gondola up to the top of Heavenly ….here is the first stop, up next the ride to the lodge.
Luvs and hugs, RenoGrace
Well, I made it home last night after a 900 mile push to beat Memorial Day traffic. Had a great time at the banquet and meeting some really fantastic folks. Some thoughts as I made my push yesterday:
- 11,000+ miles in support of chasing bonuses.
- Of that, 3,960 miles was for a round-about path to the banquet over 7 riding days.
- Number of times I could have been arrested: 1, but it was self-preservation.
- Average MPG: 46.4. And it was regular, not premium!
I am looking forward to next year’s rally.
John – note the free advertising on my rear fender. It is a good location because that is all anyone saw yesterday!
